Brit-Asian music star Jas Johal, also known as DJ Jas Johal, recently tied the knot with the beautiful Krishma in a glittering celebration in London that spanned several days and saw the presence of some of the industry’s biggest names.

It all started with a Caribbean club night in Southall on Monday that boasted a guest list of over 100 of Jas’ closest friends and family. The venue itself had a marquee decked in black star cloth and laced with the red, green, gold and red colours of the Caribbean. The spectacular night that was only part one of the wedding festivities that would last for a week was courtesy of Kudos Music.

Kudos’s signature lighting and DJ booth set the mood for an iconic Caribbean night while a fantastic live barbecue hosted by London’s finest ‘Just Premier’ Catering served up an exquisite array of authentic Caribbean dishes. The event also hosted a mobile bar that had been installed by Kudos making sure all the guests had their favourite drinks to hand. Capturing the magical moments of the evening was The London Lighthouse with their expert video and photography skills.

Complimenting Kudos entertainment was a steel drums performance by Chris Williams as well as a reggae DJ set performed by the legendary Dr Psycho to set the mood for the party. Other attractions for the event were Old Skool Garage, DJ PaulePaul, and MC’s BLive Bushkin of the Heartless Crew.

Following the success of the Caribbean night, it was time to return to roots in true Punjabi style. This time the venue was the Clay Oven Banqueting Suite in Wembley which was transformed into an authentic Punjabi site for the evening. The venue was colourfully decorated in hues of bright orange, green and purple along with some fantastic props by Diamond Weddings that added to the flavour of the night. Guests were greeted with lassi and chaat, treated to traditional low level seating (majeh), phulkaris, peacocks, bhangra dancer statues, jago props and more. The event boasted some of the UK’s finest suppliers including Diamond Weddings, Chair Cover Depot and Kudos.

The night was hosted by DJ Harc from Kudos Music and saw the presence of industry leaders like Punjabi Police with actor and comedian Brij Mohan delighting the guests. Other appearances included Desi Divas Giddha Group, Gabhru Punjab De Dancers and a special live PA from bhangra superstar JK.

The Punjabi night also hosted a special photo booth to create memories for the bridal couples, friends, families, and guests alike. The Events Booth team complimented their photo booth with quirky costumes and accessories making this an important entertainment product for the night!

This time the evening was captured on reel by Film AM and Aira Photography.

The wedding ceremony itself was held in Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara on Havelock Road Southall, one of the most prestigious Sikh temples in the UK and Europe. The bridal party arrived in four Rolls Royce Phantoms and a Rolls Royce Ghost, all supplied by Kudos Cars.

The wedding entourage was greeted by a traditional seven piece band baja supplied by Kudos and groom Jas arrived on horseback wearing a traditional Sherwani and a regal turban tied by Harv of tiemyturban.co.uk.

Jas and Krishma were married by a Sikh priest who conducted the ceremony in both Punjabi and English. The couple took their Sikh vows and went on to join their guests for a lavish vegetarian meal within the gurdwara courtesy of Just Premier Caterers.
